Straight Talk with Doug — honest gear advice from a guy who sells it for a living.
Bad credit? No credit? A few rough years in the rearview mirror? You can still finance a snowmobile. Or an ATV. Or a boat. Let’s talk about it — no judgment, no lecture.
Life’s a Northern Ontario highway
You know what our highways are like up here — potholes, twists and turns, long stretches of unpaved gravel. Your credit history is probably the same. Good stretches, rough stretches. That’s life. It happens, things get off track sometimes, and it’s okay.
The point is: a rough credit history doesn’t disqualify you from the fun. It just changes the terms.
How financing actually works
If your credit is great, you get the best rates — no surprise there. But here’s what a lot of guys and gals don’t know: there are real financing options for little-to-no credit and bad credit too.
Bad-credit rates start around 14.98% and go up from there, depending on the situation. I won’t sugarcoat it — that’s more than a prime rate. But put it in real terms: you could easily own a brand new sled from $75 a week. That’s it — $75 a week between you and the trail. At the end of the day it works out to a weekly or bi-weekly payment that fits a budget — real money for real fun, on a schedule you can plan around.
And here’s the part nobody tells you: making those payments is how you rebuild. Every on-time payment is a patch on that highway.
It’s not just sleds
This isn’t only about snowmobiles. The same financing applies across everything I sell — ATVs, side-by-sides, boats, pontoons. Whatever your dream toy is, we can talk about financing it.
Don’t be shy
Here’s my promise: send me a message and we’ll look at your situation together. It doesn’t hurt, it’s worth a shot. Worst case, they say no and we move on. Best case? You’re out there on a brand new Arctic Cat, or ripping trails on a Suzuki ATV, or fishing off your new MirroCraft.
Life happens. Let’s get you fixed up.
